“We lost a round robin game to KC but significantly out played them, just couldn't beat a very good and hot KC goalie. We then played Lethbridge in the semi-final and again carried the play and did not beat their goaltender. It was tied 2-2 after regulation but we lost in a overtime shootout. Our guys were very tired, after having to play 4 games in the prior two days.

We played and beat fresh teams playing their first game of the day in our second game of the day for two straight days. This included our arch rivals Fort Sask, whom we beat 5-1. We were up 4-1 with 45 seconds to play and decided to pull our goalie to get the extra goal that we calculated would eliminate them from the tournament. We got the goal and Fort Sask had not done their homework on how the tie breaker worked and had no clue until they attended a tournament meeting to find out that the extra goal sent them packing back home. It was the highlight of the tournament for us. Coach Scott Vokey

”The accommodations and restaurant did a great job... Heidelberg Inn, Best Western and Carmichaels... all very good and accommodating to us.” Assistant Coach Ed Chibri
